WHAT IS BIKE NIGHT?

Bike Night is a free, weekly event where riders of all makes and models as well as non-riders gather to show off their bikes, meet friends, make new friends, enjoy some food, and have some fun. We stress ALL RIDERS WELCOME! And all models, such as cruisers, sportbikes, nakeds, sport tourers, streetfighters, dual sports, vintage – you name it, it’s welcome! Have a passion for two-wheeled transport?! So do we! Come join us! Bike Night kicks off at 5 pm and runs until 9 pm every Wednesday.

No motorcycle? No problem. Even if you don’t ride, bike nights are fun to attend. All you need is an interest in motorcycles. There’s plenty of parking for non-motorcycles, so all are welcome!

RVA Bike Night was founded in 2015 by Scott Takahashi, who currently organizes and runs the weekly event. The event is independently run and is not affiliated with Mission BBQ (they are the site sponsor). Contact Scott if you have questions regarding the event, and stop on by the RVA Bike Night tent and say hi!

WHERE IS RVA BIKE NIGHT?

RVA Bike Night is located at Mission BBQ, which is located at the corner of Glenside Drive and W. Broad Street, just west of downtown Richmond (formerly K-Mart):

Mission BBQ
5440 Glenside Drive
Richmond, VA 23228

There’s a much bigger parking area specifically for motorcycles, viewable from Broad Street. Motorcycles please use designated parking area.

ARE MOTORCYCLE CLUB COLORS PERMITTED AT RVA BIKE NIGHT?

No, our host sponsor has specifically stated that motorcycle club colors are not permitted during the Bike Night event. As Bike Night is an event open to all, we will certainly abide by their rules.

If you have a small club patch on your vest or jacket, it’s generally not a problem. Rocker patches, full back patches, and 1%’s (one percenters) are really what they are referring to here, and they are not welcome at RVA Bike Night. Wearing apparel which is likely to provoke a disturbance or embroil other groups or the general public in open conflict will not be allowed.

I AM A VENDOR AND WANT TO SET UP AT BIKE NIGHT. HOW DO I GET IN ON THAT ACTION?

We welcome vendors! Here’s some details:

  • All vendors must be approved, so please don’t just show up expecting to set up. Contact us here and let us know what you’ll be vending, or see us at the RVA Bike Night canopy tent.
  • Items/services that are friendly to the motorcycling community are preferred, but we’re open to just about anything except food of course.
  • Vendors will want to show up by 4:30/4:45 to set up and secure a good spot. Not a requirement, but we’re growing fast and want to make sure you have good visibility.
  • Vendors MUST have a canopy tent. No exceptions. Get one at Wal-Mart, they’re cheap. It’s a stipulation from our site sponsor (Mission BBQ).
